Twitter is the only social media app I see actual use in. Living in Pakistan, there is ALWAYS news that we want immediately & media houses aren’t allowed/ able to publish everything, so Twitter is a blessing. I can relate to your angst/ disappointment in this regard. Well written points!

I do have a question for Tech enthusiasts and journalists tho: why is twitter acting so crazy for profits/ change when last I checked all these businesses are getting inflated advertising industry investments because of expected ROIs? That’s despite lack of conclusive evidence suggesting that social media advertising brings new users or retains customers in many markets. They have funding & are making actual money w/o doing much already, no?
