Payddle, A Design360 hackathon project
At IIIT Delhi’s Techfest Esya,2017 out of the four topics given to us on Design360 event, which is basically a 16 hours long designathon. We were a given a document file, which we have to follow throughout the event:

We chose to work on “Internet Banking”.
We began with lots of online research, brainstorming and decided to go on a survey to know about the ‘online banking trends’ along with the inconveniences(if faced any). We spread a google form “Internet Banking- Feedback form” to a number of our friends and relatives to fill it, a variety of responses we got within an hour. And we drew a conclusion, there are complaints about the netbanking like weak server problems, lots of authentication steps, confusing pin numbers and many more.

main aim was to reduce the long, time consuming plus very confusing online transactions process into a simple, but secure way.
Solution that we provided, we built a prototype, called as Payddle. So, basically what Paydalle do is, it act as a keyboard application or we can say a plugin, which will do the online payments, just by a ‘swipe’. We used the text-recognition technology, to scan the credit/debit cards, after which the information of the card will get stored onto the cloud storage.
Now, question is how to use Payddle?

Suppose, you are chatting with one of your friend on Whatsapp, he is in urgent need of some money, say Rs.2000/-. All you have to do is, swipe on your normal keyboard and Payddle appears. Payddle is a keyboard which consists of various of your cards. Choose your desired card for payment, and swipe up. This will send a link to the other user to fill in his bank details like account number, ifsc code and so on. He will fill up the details and accept the request to debit the amount in his account. A confirmation message will be sent to you, just to check whether the person you’re sending money is the same person or not. Click ‘make payment’ and use your ‘fingerprint’ to ensure safety; and your transaction will take place.

Business Approach: Since, Payddle is a plugin, it can be embedded into other bank websites or applications; it will act as one for all solution to make online payments, either by using VISA, Master Card, Rupay etc.
In India, there is a part of population who still do not prefer to type on keyboards, that’s why we have features like scanning cards, swiping to make transfers and some clicks.
