The Sony Playstation Move has been out for nearly a month now, and there have been an adequate amount of people who have purchased this new hardware from www.pcmunkey.com Many people consider it better and more responsive than the Wii motion controller, while at the same time much more immersive and entertaining than some of the best Wii games themselves.

While the Move is clearly an excellent piece of hardware, it all comes down to the software line-up. I’ll give you a fairly descriptive overview of some of the Playstation Move games that will definitely be well worth your time and money.

Sports Champions

No need to worry about picking up a copy of this game after your PS Move purchase, because this must-have Move title comes bundled in with the Playstation Move bundle along with a Move controller and Playstation Eye Camera. This game offers the most robust gameplay mechanics and precise accuracy that the PS Move was meant to do. Sports Champions is more of a game consisting of built-in mini-games than an actual complete game, but you won’t mind a bit.

Once you pick up your Move controller and start playing, you’ll be completely immersed in the games thanks to the realistic and addictive motion controls. Archery, Gladiator Duals, and Table Tennis are just three of the six games you’ll have to play right out of the box, and they’re all fun and fluidly bring the Move’s motion controls to its full potential. A highly recommended title that must be played to truly understand what all the hype about the Move is all about. Don’t take my word for it, check out Gameinformer’s PS Move review.

Eyepet

Move over Nintendogs, there’s a new pet in town and he’s on the PS Move. Eyepet is a game about adopting your very own monkey-like creature and doing activities in order to keep him healthy and happy. This is one of the games that give the Playstation Eye camera some good uses by allowing the player to interact with the animal in a variety of ways.

Stomp on the floor next to it and it’ll recoil in fear, draw a picture and hold it up to the camera and it’ll draw a replica of your art, turn your Move controller into a shower-head and spray it with water, along with a huge selection of other mini-games that allow you to interact with your beloved pet. If you want a fun and truly unique Move title for the whole family that offers tons of stuff to do and accomplish, then I recommend this title with high expectations for you.

Start the Party

If Sports Champions or Eyepet aren’t your taste, then maybe Start The Party will suit you better. Much like a Wario-Ware or Mario Party type of game, Start The Party is an assortment of obscure and often extremely bizarre mini-games that keep you on your toes and makes you the center of attention at parties.

Whether you’re catching falling birds in a net or brushing an alligator’s teeth, Start The Party is utilizes the Move’s capabilities very well, while also giving the Eye camera a major role in the gameplay as well. However, if you are over the age of ten, I would recommend that you stick with Sports Champions, as this is mainly a game for kids. Start The Party is great at parties, and will keep your kids or younger siblings playing for hours.

Waiting For More Moving Games

The Playstation Move’s launch games weren’t the strongest many people were hoping for, but at the same time they simply cannot get enough of the Move or its incredible intuitive and responsive controls. If you have been keeping up with the Move and still haven’t found the triple-A game you’re looking for, don’t worry there are plenty of great games coming soon.

Games like The Fight: Lights Out, Socom 4, The Shoot, and Sorcery are just a handful of some of the PS Moves’ amazing line-up of upcoming games. Until then, enjoy what the Move has to offer now, it’s time to Move into the future.
