This is such a silly question to ask, don’t you think? Like, why wouldn’t a man pick a woman as his role model? Why wouldn’t a man see qualities or traits or habits in a successful woman and want to emulate them?

My role models this year: a 25 year old android developer who spends 20% of her time teaching computer science in local girls’ schools and for an outreach organisation; a educational psychologist who developed the able pupils extending program and who spends her time supporting networks of community educational activities; an American educational sociologist who uses social meaning making and computer games design to try to break the cycle of recidivism among young offenders. In mainstream computer science, i use Emmy Noether’s work every day, and dream of being able to come up with a tools for world peace like Katia Sycara.
