Greek Week is a long-standing tradition at Eastern Kentucky University and an event the Greek community looks forward to every year. Each spring the Greek community gathers together to participate in various events leading up to the main event: Greek Awards.

Greek Awards is where each chapter’s hard work from the following year is recognized. These awards include a wide variety of categories, ranging from most outstanding educational programming to chapter of the year.

They also present Greek Week awards. This is where the week’s events come into play.

Throughout the week leading up to Greek Awards, chapters also participate in Greek Games, which include different events from relay races to musical chairs. Greeks also participate in a Blood Drive with the American Red Cross.

They end the week with Greek Sing, which is when chapters are paired together to perform a dance routine. Greek Sing takes months of preparation and is a fan favorite across campus.

The Greek community will begin its Saturday morning by volunteering around campus and the Richmond area. This year members are volunteering with places like the Humane Society and Habitat for Humanity.

Each event attended by chapters helps them gain points towards the “Greek Week Winners,” which will also be awarded at Greek Awards.
