Depression

Depression is depressing as hell
It makes you think and do things that are good for no one
Certainly not yourself
You get sad and lonely
You want to escape this planet and run away from your mind
Just thinking about depression is depressing
I took pills for that, little white ones every morning
You still get depressed though, just not as often or as long
It can’t be cured, it’s a family curse, genetics
Passed through from one generation to the next
It doesn’t have a cure, man that’s depressing
A disease without a cure
They say you can cure cancer and aids and ebola
Not depression though
Well, at least the pills were cheap
Cheaper than bullets, anyway
Then again you would only need one
