Space diary log 100011, March 19, 1996

Our first few hours on the red planet feel a lot calmer than we thought they would be. Our seismic probes give no data on potential upcoming quakes. Sandstorms are less likely to form. Samples are being gathered as I share my thoughts. We managed to establish a few connections with Earth. Our systems are getting installed, and by tomorrow at 1800 UTC Earth time, we should have a full-time working chat system. The future seems bright, and building the Intergalactic connector link will soon start.

Looking at the horizon never felt this way. I deeply regret that there are no other people here to share that miraculous landscape view, but I promise you… we will get you here!
