Vine is dead. Long live Coub!
If one could learn a lesson from today’s news about Twitter shutting down Vine, what would it be? As Vine’s founder tweeted, it would be “Don’t sell your company!” I couldn’t say it better.
Now take a look at the Gladkoborodov brothers. They’ve been running Coub for years now, with limited resources. And their apps are making waves in the U.S., with a recent YCombinator enrollment and a collaboration with friendly services.
All of this is really to say one simple thing. Vine may be dead, but looped videos are not. And Coub is still the best app for creating video loops:
