About 54 commercial banks already have established branches here. Four big business process outsourcing firms, IBM, Concentrix, Stellar and Sutherland are also now operating in the city of Naga. These business establishments definitely have more job opportunities for everyone in Bicol. There is no wonder why Naga City was awarded as the “Most Competitive Component City” last July 2016.

3. Education

Naga City is also considered to be Southern Luzon’s educational center due to its excellent academic performances of schools and universities. It is in fact the home of six largest universities in the Bicol region. Among the outstanding universities in Naga City that are well-known for their quality education are Ateneo de Naga University which just recently announced the opening of its law school, Unibersidad de Sta. Because of the dynamic development of business establishments and continuous progress of universities in Naga City, more and more people are coming to settle here. This led to the city’s consistent developments in housing. One of the well-known home developers in Naga City is Camella Homes which continues to build and develop more master planned communities. Other home developers that also cater to the broad affordable market segment are Amaia Scapes and Lumina CamSur which currently offer pre-selling houses that are soon to be constructed in Pili, a nearby town of Naga City.
