Propy ambassadors have a significant depth of knowledge and skill. When we launched the program in September 2017, real estate professionals and government officials were keen to collaborate and partner with Propy to bring about much-needed change.
In six short months, we recruited ambassadors and supporters across 40 countries, including the United States, United Arab Emirates, Canada, China, Australia, and the Caribbean.
In the beginning, Propy was uncertain how the Ambassador Program would work. We spent countless hours brainstorming ideas, but also spoke to hundreds of people interested in our program; they told us all we needed to know. Everyone we interviewed voiced the same sentiment: they’d been waiting for a project like ours and couldn’t wait to get involved.

What do Propy ambassadors do?
Ambassadors have already helped Propy to secure adoption of our land registry on the blockchain in South Burlington, Vermont. Every day, ambassadors introduce new real estate brokerages to Propy and have secured an immense amount of interest from governments all around the world. After the successful land registry pilot in Vermont, five foreign governments and three US states are currently in talks with Propy as interest continues to grow.
As an ambassador, you represent Propy in your region. You’ll educate people about our technology and speak with governments about adopting our land registry on the blockchain. But that’s just the beginning…
Ambassadors wear many hats
Propy ambassadors are socially active. You’ll be asked to:
- Meet with local brokerages, developers, and principals about listing property on the Propy Listing platform and educate them about Propy Transaction Platform
- Engage with attorneys and local government offices to lobby for the adoption of blockchain for the title registry process, but also implement Propy in their jurisdiction
- Host local webinars and meet-ups to introduce Propy to new people
- Attend conferences to engage with Chambers of Commerce, real estate organizations, and committees
- Represent Propy at other events for international investors and blockchain enthusiasts
What’s it like to be an ambassador?
When Propy ambassador Leslie Pico was contracted by a high-volume real estate team to help with customer relationship management and marketing, it changed her career. She took the group from an average of $5 million per month in sales to just over $15 million per month. Increasing the average list price of the luxury properties they represented (from $750k to over $1.2 million), Leslie moved into real estate but knew the transaction process was “broken.”
Lesley told us she went looking for people who are “disrupting legacy industries and overcoming obstacles involved with the adoption of new innovations.” That’s when she found Propy.
Now part of our program, Leslie says, “there is nothing better than this.”
She goes on to describe her typical day:
“Being a Propy ambassador is a bit of a hybrid role that includes coordinating interactions, building relationships, hosting events, giving presentations, and engaging with the media, all with an eye towards furthering the goals and values of the company.
I typically dedicate my morning hours to coffee meetings, then it could be a luncheon presentation or afternoon at roundtables and phone calls with real estate developers and brokerages. I actively insert myself into the community and also attend other blockchain meetups and events in the Phoenix area where I continue to learn, remain aware of what else is happening in the industry, and act as representative for Propy.
The thing that makes Lesley “especially proud,” she says, is being “part of a company playing a pivotal role in the application of a new technology.”
