I’ve read a book called Business Secrets From the Bible by Rabbi Daniel Lapin. I aspire to be a business owner and will consume any content that allows me to achieve that goal. What I’ve gained from this book is paramount to minding your own business. That is one of the first lessons in this book; anything you do is business.

What Is Your “Business” ?

When you apply for a job you are in the business of selling your labor for a paycheck. When you buy coffee or food, you are in business with the seller of those goods. When you use your phone, that is the product of doing business with your supplier. Society runs on business. No one can really live this modern life without having depended on businesses. There are few instances in which you can actually do everything by yourself successfully and efficiently enough to have time for anything else. For me, this lesson changed my life. Rabbi Daniel Lapin describes this lesson in more detail within the first few chapters of his book which, I recommend you read.

When you mind your business, it is your business that thrives. If you focus and work on your finance, your wallet gets fatter. If you stop eating junk and focus on your health, your body gets thinner. These are truthfully very simple concepts but there are advanced ways of doing them that professionals need. For sure things are more easily said than done, but you can do it and do it well. Bodybuilders truly understand in depth how to achieve a great physique and cut fat regularly. Successful business men surely know how to raise capital and run a business efficiently. They also have the best team possible to help them do so. Learn from them and mind your own business. Start small and get better. Soon you’ll be your own professional in your life.

This is a lesson many people have yet to learn. When you mind your own business you teach yourself responsibility. When you teach yourself responsibility, your parents suddenly don’t see you as a disappointment anymore. They may even help you achieve your dreams.
When you get that responsibility part down and focus on the rest of adulting, you become the owner of the domino effect in your life. You’ll soon see that with the right array of the dominos in your life, and you start getting things down, things will fall into place.

This is not without error, failure is a normal part of life. Many successful businesses and people have failed regularly but continued to succeed in the long run because they mind their own business. Let other people chit chat. Your money and your life will receive benefits your job cannot even provide if you mind your own business.

Mind your own business!
