Sunday Story #12: Internet art

Photos posted publicly on social media or blogs are a form of our own original works of art.

However, photos of you or in this case, your babies can be used for digital “role-play”.

“None of the photos were copyrighted so it’s not my fault, it’s the fault of whoever put them up”

The actual account got deleted after Jenny had vocalized her issues with stealing photos of her babies. However, it got recreated by another person.

Art available on the internet can be “remixed” by others, however the original owner of the artwork or photo feels violated when others use pictures of their homes, families, etc. in order to create a “fantasy family” online by re-posting those pictures and claiming it as their own.

Although some accounts are spoof accounts, there are actual people who have bad intentions by using stolen photos and its a growing problem.
