(Team Hotstar)

We will first would like to say thank you to Masai School for giving us the wonderful opportunity to work on this wonderful project. It has been a pleasure to work on this project and it helps to us for improve our skills and our personal skill to how to work in group and building our confidence little much higher as we will represent our project to Masai School curriculum team.

INTRODUCTION:-

Hotstar is the video streaming website where user can watch movies and TV shows as well as live sports and highlight as well.

Tech Stacks Used:-

1. React
2. Express
3. Mongoose
4. NODE JS
5. JavaScript

How we started:-

First we all made whats app group and schedule the zoom meeting where we devide the work in five parts , and started working on project.

How it goes:-

First I find out the api from where we can get the all the data of website because it is very hard to collet all the data from original website

Then me and Sachin collaborated and made the full landing page and Sachin is also responsible for the all things in navbar and individual video page and Sachin also provided the functionality and user can play the trailer of movie as well and I am also responsible for the responsiveness of whole landing page and I also made the footer as well.

Now we will move towards the log out and login page which is made by the Abhishek and Vijendra is responsible for the google authentication of that page.

Vijendra and Sahil collaborated and they both are responsible for the all backend functionalities which makes this website functional. And Sahil also made the wishlist page as well.

Difficulties we faced and what we learned :-

So this was out first project that we have to build using react so it was difficult for us to how we can start and how many components we should made and how can we further proceed but as we start working on project it was not a big headache for us.

Hotstar clone functionality:-

First user will be on landing page now user have to login with mobile and password or google and if user don’t have account user have to sign up and after login or signup user will be redirected to landing page and all movies , TV shows are available to watch and if user want search particular movie or TV user can search as well and after clicking on any of the video user will be redirected to individual video page where user can watch video and if user want to watch later user can add the video to watch later list as well by simply clicking on watch later button and if user no more interested in movie user can remove it as well from wishlist . And if user want to share the video with friends and family user can share the movie or Tv as well by just clicking on the share.
