Hebrews 11:6

And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for the one who comes to God must believe that He exists, and that He proves to be One who rewards those who seek Him.

Biblical faith is a strong and unwavering belief in God, His character, and His promises as revealed in the Scriptures.

Real faith always has an object. It is anchored on truth, God, His Character and His promises, and not based on feelings.

That faith is believing that God can and will keep His promises, in His way, in His time for our good.it is the living faith! And it works and has godly transformation.

We should follow God’s calling and trust His guidance no matter what happen. Despite of challenges we may face, we should keep our faith remained strong. We should trust God and believe in His faithfulness, so we can please God, walk in His purposes, and ultimately finish well.

Our Faith should be characterized by:

1. OBEDIENCE

A real Christian is someone who not only believes in Jesus but also obeys Him. In James 2:17–19 teaches us that genuine faith is accompanied by good works. We must have real faith, not counterfeit faith. James 2:17–19 says faith without works is dead. Intellectual belief is not faith. The demons believed but they have not repented and are not transformed. Salvation is by grace through faith, but faith will never be alone. Faith will have evidence and that evidence is obedience — good works. A real Christian is someone who has placed his faith in Jesus and because of that faith will obey Jesus.

James 2:17–19

In the same way, faith also, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself. But someone may well say, “You have faith and I have works; show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works.” You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder.

God wants to develop our faith. Our faith will be tested and challenged (God uses various tests and challenges to develop our faith).Through this experience, we learned to place our security in God, realizing that God fulfills His promises no matter what. Our faith is not perfect but we needed to grow so we can learn that our security relies to God.

Our faith cannot grow apart from testing (James 1:1–4) our obedience to the Lord. The test of real faith is obedience!

James 1:2–4

Consider it all joy, my brothers and sisters, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

2. RESTEDNESS

Faith in God’s promises brings a sense of rest (Psalm 37:4–5,7). To experience this rest, we need to delight in the Lord, commit ourselves to Him, trust Him, and patiently wait for Him. Resting in God grants us freedom from constantly demanding our own way, desiring control, and experiencing anxiety, fear, and depression. It requires us to let go and let God. In the midst of problems, we can find peace and security because our faith is rooted in God’s character and promises

Psalm 37:4–5

Delight yourself in the Lord;

And He will give you the desires of your heart.

Commit your way to the Lord,

Trust also in Him, and He will do it.

Psalm 37:7

Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him;

Do not get upset because of one who is successful in his way,

Because of the person who carries out wicked schemes.

3. SURRENDER

The world views surrender as weakness, but for believers, surrender brings strength. Surrendering acknowledges God as the ultimate authority. Surrendering means recognizing God is faithful and trustworthy.

God is faithful and we should trust Him. We cannot obey somebody we do not trust and we cannot trust somebody we do not know. God is never too late and never too early when He provides. Thus, we need to surrender everything to the Lord.

Always remember with Jesus Christ we find hope, peace, and transformation in our life!

To God be the glory! In Jesus Name!

Amen!
