If you work with tree’s you will know that you need to be smart in your tree management. KaarbonTech’s Tree SMART system makes it easy for councils to manage their tree stocks effectively.

Local authorities are using KaarbonTech’s asset management solutions to improve their asset knowledge and make informed decisions on strategy. Our system allows users to quickly and simply survey tree’s and transfer the data back to the office system. Where all users can then review, edit and report on the data. The system is fully supported by KaarbonTech’s passionate support team.

We have prepared a new video showing some of the key features of our Tree SMART product.

Tree SMART ARB Now available on iOS and Android

Kaarbontech’s arborist customers can now enjoy the freedom of choosing Android or iOS tablets to run the Tree SMART Arb inspection and management software.

The software has been available on Android tablets for a while now. However, customers wishing to use the iPad platform have not had a great deal of choice with hardly any software being supplied to this market.

KaarbonTech have now changed this and are successfully deploying tree SMART Arb on a range of iPads. The new iPad Pro is superb to use with the software and with its fast processor and excellent camera is a joy to use.

Database helps plant ‘right tree for the right place’

German researchers have compiled a 400-species database to encourage people to plant the “right tree in the right place” in urban areas.

The team of scientists hope the information will help shift the focus away from the way trees look towards the focus on biodiversity.

Over the next decade, the urban environment is expected to increase by nearly 30%. Details have been published in the Landscape and Urban Planning journal.

It is hoped that city planners and professionals use the database which has 390 trees and shrub details. By varying the species and varieties should increase biodiversity within our towns and cities.
