Wow, most of the comments here are awful.

Meagan, thank you for writing this. I grew up in Tulsa and had no idea about this history. It is amazing (and telling) how the city seems to have mostly forgotten it. Combine that with the unwillingness to pay reparations, and it’s easy to draw some conclusions about what how the current leaders feel.

I can’t help but imagine how things could have been different in the country if this event hadn’t occurred.
