This is a deeply frustrating review. I can’t emphasize this enough — it’s a television show, not a documentary. The plot line is ridiculous, and clearly so. Even Venezuelan journalists are not taking it so literally, with some mocking articles like these here because it is so clear that it is fiction. The evil president is a rightwing conservative who holds internment camps and cheated elections; the hero president is a female social justice socialist who wins on an honest campaign: this is America’s narrative, not Venezuela. Honestly, this review sounds like it was written by a person who is still trying to come to terms with their own privilege and were given a social platform too prematurely. I recommend more self-exploration before attempting another review like this, it is clear you aren’t fully sure what you want to say. Rather, it reads like you know that there are things you think you should say and certain things you think you should not say, but for reasons you don’t understand or have taken the time to learn.
