The “Each Letter of Your First Name is a Song” Challenge
Just lately it seems I have low resistance when it comes to challenges. I recently read an article by Pierce McIntyre and decided I couldn’t possible leave myself out of the fun.
The premise is simple:
- Write down each letter of your first name
- Choose a song title that starts with each letter
Sounds like fun to me, and not too hard, either. There are only five letters in my first name, after all.
Without further ado, my name in songs:
P — Purple Rain by Prince. It breaks my heart knowing we lost this musical genius far too soon. I feel like I don’t mention him often enough, and his musical legacy is absolutely worth mentioning.
A — Any Man of Mine by Shania Twain. I’ll bet you thought this rock and roll kid didn’t enjoy any other kind of music. Hey, I grew up country. I like most music. Shania is great. Back in my singing days, I liked covering some of her songs.
