A Poem — Once we were strangers, then we weren’t She said I love you
I said I don’t
She cried
Her essence faded I was oblivious, then I wasn’t I said I love you
She said I don’t
I cried
My essence faded Like this, we danced endlessly
I love you, I love you not, this love can’t be
Our essence faded Only agonizing heartache in this pattern
We said our last farewell Now tears presided over the ruins of the love that could not bloom
