With “Enlightenment” Comes Pain

Although it doesn’t have to be the case.

Let me explain what I mean.

Of course, I am really just reiterating to myself so that I will not forget.

This is very similar to what uncle Ben told Peter Parker — “Wither great power comes great responsibility.”

With enlightenment, which really is just greater (spiritual) understanding, comes great responsibility, to yourself.

As Abraham candidly puts it, “There is no turning back.”

Once you are exposed to certain spiritual teachings and understanding, there is no going back to ignorance.

Once you are exposed to the light, there is no going back to the dark.

Of course, you can go back. You can go back to being ignorant. You can go back to the dark. But you will always know. You will always know the “truth.” You will always know the light.

Because you are not the person you used to be, who was happily ignorant, resistance and misalignment will cause greater pain in your heart.

Spirituality, which is becoming the new trend, is not all fun and laughter. There is a serious side to it. There is a certain sternness to it. The true spirituality comes with discipline. It’s the discipline to fully unravel yourself and to be the best person that you can be.

I know a lot of people who have done a lot of psychedelics that are still shitty people. They lie, justify, cheat, deceive, etc. Why? Because the psychedelic or spiritual experience does not automatically make you a better person.

Sure, you will come to know that there is more to reality than what we can physically perceive and experience. But what then? What will you do about it?

Here is the thing. If you truly experience true enlightenment, THAT will actually initiate change in behavior.

Once you know that everything is truly connected, and everyone is truly connected, then THAT will change your behavior.

It’s so easy for people to spew out spiritual ideas that sound good. Oh yeah we are all one. Oh yeah time is an illusion. Well, then. Why are you still a jackass? Why are you still making excuses? Clearly, there is something missing.
