Very nice. It is true that attention spans are shrinking and writers are forced to modify their writings, to be more effective. And one big reason is that potential readers are becoming potential watchers/ hearers….the audio-visual media has exploded beyond expectation, and has taken away a huge chunk of readers with it….we are moving from a more active chore (reading, imbibing, introspecting, understanding, memorizing and fantasising) to a more passive, readymade audio-visual buffet…where even the need to think, imagine or fantasise is taken away…its the way the world is moving…writers need to do what they need to do….cutting down on their creative activity to play to the galleries will eventually sound the death knell for writers…
