Colored People Time

I’m on “<Insert any group> time” is an old joke used when running late.

It’s a self-deprecating joke, in this case it pokes fun at one’s own culture’s perceived stereotype.

Can a different culture appropriate another cultures stereotype for a joke? Would it still qualify as a self-deprecating joke? In this case, if it’s not self-deprecating, isn’t it just a joke about “colored” people always running late?

I don’t believe Hilary has a white hood hanging in her closet but would she be willing to borrow one to get more votes?

This was a scripted moment and Hilary knew the joke beforehand. She still did it. Is she dumb? INCREDIBLY insensitive? or just hungry for votes?

But just as before, it wasn’t really her doing…

“Earlier in the day, Clinton essentially blamed the entire ordeal on de Blasio, telling Cosmopolitan magazine, “Well, look, it was Mayor de Blasio’s skit. He has addressed it, and I will really defer to him because it is something that he’s already talked about.” ( via @thedailybeast )

Does she ever walk her own walk?

Hilary on “super predators”:
Hey it was the 90's…everyone was afraid of black kids…

On the war in Iraq:
Every body else voted for it too…

On the request for Hilary to release her wall-street speeches:
Well, if republicans don’t have to release their wall-street speeches, neither do I.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
