Matrix’s Team Overview Part One: Steve Deng

When it comes to evaluating the blockchain project’s potential and projecting its future success, major step is to do fundamental analysis. It is the process of evaluating an asset in an attempt to measure its intrinsic value, by examining various qualitative and quantitative factors.

One of the most important factor in my opinion is the project’s leading team, because its credibility can show us if people working on the project can deliver fully functioning product and turn our investment into profit. Since price over time will be relative to the success of product, it can be analysed similarly to an investment in a start-up. The main focus when looking at a token should be the team and their ability to deliver a working product that will actually be used.

In a following article series, I am going to talk about our Matrix AI Network team who is working on the very promising and innovative blockchain platform, which I am sure, is going to be one of the leading projects in the crypto field. This first part of the series is dedicated to MATRIX’s Chief AI Scientist Steve Deng.

Prof. Deng is in charge of designing machine learning algorithms and hardware architectures for the MATRIX blockchain. As you may not know by now, MATRIX is an innovative blockchain platform which uses artificial intelligence to build intelligent smart contracts, which don’t require programming (Yes, artificial intelligence helps with that), secure those smart contracts with utilising self-adaptive AI to audit them for vulnerabilities. Also, artificial intelligence within MATRIX is used to perform various computations. Some of the current uses of MATRIX’s technology include genome sequencing, automatic AI image recognition and assisting cancer diagnostics in hospitals. Spectacular team will even construct their own mining chip sets to assist with artificial intelligence and various statistical computations. Finally, blockchain will be used to solve real world problems. Simply put, this makes MATRIX an artificial intelligence super computer. This will not only make MATRIX one of the fastest blockchains, but it will ensure a future proof architecture like no other. Delivering these next generation fully working features to the blockchain, requires a talented team which Steve Deng is in charge of.

Below, we will look at the MATRIX’s Chief AI Scientist’s profile. We will try to confirm credibility of the person who is behind the wheel of artificial intelligence in MATRIX.

Prof. Steve Deng is an associative professor of School of Software, Tsinghua Univesity, where he has been a faculty member since 2008. It’s worth to note that Tsinghua University is a major research university in Beijing, China. The university has graduated numerous Chinese leaders in politics, business, academia and culture. Tsinghua University is ranked as one of the top academic institutions in China, Asia, and worldwide. Also it has been ranked as the best engineering and computer science school in the world. Steve Deng completed his ME and BE studies at Tsinghua University.

Steve Deng’s research interests include machine learning, industry data analytics, and computer architecture. Prof. Deng, since 2016, has been the Vice Principle Architect of China Railway Rollingstock Corporation’s Prognostics Health Management for High-Speed Train Project, which focuses on leveraging modern machine learning techniques to revolutionise the operation and maintenance of railway vehicles. Also, he is the author or co-author of over 50 research papers and his book, was adopted as the textbook of IC design by Tsinghua and many other universities. Deng’s work on deep learning based image detection was ranked number one in many prestigious challenges (PASCAL VOC and COCO). He received many awards, including a best paper award on International Conference on Computer Design 2013, NVIDIA partnership professor Award, and Tsinghua Key Talent Award.

NVIDIA states that during Deng’s Ph.D. research, he developed an efficient algorithm to optimize the interconnection network for System-on-Chips. The work opened up a new research direction to optimize system interconnection by taking into account the predicted layout information. In my opinion, after soaking up this all information of respectable sources, it would be impossible for anyone to question Steve Deng’s credibility or whether MATRIX can deliver their promised technology. Based on Deng’s research and work of field, it’s clear that process of implementing AI or designing AI chips is in a good hands, and such world class team will be the key in success of Matrix AI Network becoming the new blockchain titan.
