My response to IF: Gathering

It’s time to DWELL DEEPLY. It’s time to LOVE FULLY. It’s time to OBEY QUICKLY.

#IFGathering was an incredibly scale-from-my-eyes-dropping experience. In 1 weekend I was confronted with my fears of both inadequacy and success. I was reminded of the duality of the simplicity and fierce complexity of following the commands of Jesus. I was provoked to radically go head-to-head with my anger and ingratitude. I was apprised of the reality that there is more than enough calling to go around in the Kingdom of God. I don’t have to compete. I don’t have to compare.

So here are my thoughts:

—IF I can steady my vision and take aim at one thing at a time I can create a legacy for my daughters.

—IF I refuse to go in alone and instead rally the sisterhood of saints to come with me we can make a difference in the community around us.

—IF I embrace my talents, my interests and my experiences without fear of how they will be accepted by others I can be uniquely myself and discover who God created me to be.

How will I start?

—Commit to daily time in The Bible #IfEquip

—Begin month one of #7 by @JenHatmaker and seek God for what steps he would have me take

—Start believing God is who He says he is. Believe Him for REAL and RADICAL change in my life and my surrounding community

—Spend time blogging/journaling (are they the same thing?) and writing music without fear of how it will be received
