I was talking today to a young relative of mine. She is a strong engineer who is currently interviewing in Bangalore for engineering positions.

Everywhere she interviews (mostly tech startups), she is asked if she is single or married. According to her the 'right' answer is, " Not for another five years". Any other answer risks her not getting the job.

There is so much that is wrong with this setup. The question, the answer, the attitudes of tech companies. And then we wonder why there aren't more women in tech.

Disgusted.
