Kejri calls Kanshi Ram’s sister his “bhua”, another effort to woo the Dalit in Punjab

In another unconcealed attempt to woo the Dalit vote in Punjab, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal addressed Kanshi Ram’s sister Swaran Kaur as “bhua”. Delhi Chief Minster paid visit to the birthplace of late Kanshi Ram, founder of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), where in order to gain political mileage; he termed the AAP as the “only authentic political party fighting for justice for Dalits”.

Also, he sought the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honour, for late Kanshi Ram, for the sake of wooing Dalit voters in Punjab state.

AAP National convener Arvind Kejriwal with Late Kanshi Ram’s Sister, calling her his “bhua”

According to Kejriwal, Kanshi Ram was a great visionary Dalit leader. “Kanshi Ram was the only visionary Dalit leader who turned the dreams of BR Ambedkar into reality by uniting the Dalits, giving them various benefits and making Dalits politically sound. He deserves the Bharat Ratna, and AAP MP Bhagwant Mann will raise the issue in Parliament, while our party will raise it in the public domain”, said Arvind Kejriwal during his visit.

Also, not missing a golden opportunity to blame the opposition he added, “BJP has an allergy with the Dalit community and same can be witnessed through Rohit Vemula’s suicide issue”.

Kejriwal also said that if AAP is voted to power in Punjab, it would fulfill the dreams which Kanshi Ram had seen for the Dalit community, while garlanding the statue of Kanshi Ram.

As another political stunt, he assured the Dalit in Punjab that AAP is the only party that can provide equal opportunity, rights and political share to the Dalits. “The AAP is set to form the government in Punjab and will form a special investigation team for all cases of Dalit atrocities by the SAD-BJP regime”, said Kejriwal, who seemed provoking Punjabi’s against the ruling government.

“Let me assure you, I will fight till death but won’t allow the RSS to succeed in this anti-Dalit move. Reservation is a right given by Constitution, which Dalits got after a long fight and was provided by BR Ambedkar”, said Kejriwal, adding fuel to the fire.

A ‘non-punjabi’, later, went to Takht Keshgarh Sahib at Anandpur Sahib to pay obeisance where he was presented ‘Siropa’.

AAP supremo had declared that a special investigation team would be formed by AAP for all the cases of Dalit atrocities by SAD-BJP regime. But, before moving ahead and make fake declarations, Kejriwal should make clear to the people of Punjab that what is AAP doing in case of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots?

Beware Punjab! He can go to any extent to woo Punjabis’ as well as Dalits’
