If figuring out what to write in your Halloween card scares you as much as spiders, ghosts, goblins and ghouls, we’re here to help. Here are 15 ideas from our fave Halloween cards sent so far this year that are sure to delight and spook. Let us know in the comments which idea you are going to use!

  1. Frighten your friend. If you lean more toward tricks than treats, greet your friends with a play on a Halloween creature. Are they cool ghouls, ghosts with the most, or Franken-friends? Tell them, but also remind them you love them no matter what. If you like this blood-dripping look, request it when ordering your card. Just note it in the requests box, and our artists will make your card ooze with spookiness.

2. Put a spell on them. Did you grow up watching Hocus Pocus and Halloween Town with your friends? Remind your besties of the good ol’ days and plan a reunion. You obviously still all know the words to “I Put a Spell on You.”

3. Plan out the night. You can celebrate Halloween in lots of ways: summon demons, dress up, knock on doors for candy, or stay in and watch a scary flick. No way is the wrong way.

4. Get a tune stuck in their head. If you didn’t already have “I Put a Spell on You” on loop in your head, you’re about to only be humming “This is Halloween” for the next 20 minutes. Send a card with your fave Halloween lyrics to get your friends and family in the Halloween spirit.

5. Start the anticipation. If you already have an All Hallows’ Eve party planned, tell your fellow party people how excited you are to hang out. We’ve got plenty of card in our new Halloween collection that are perfect for your witches.

6. Send solid advice. The holiday can get out of hand, so pass along a friendly remind, such as don’t drink and fly. Use a broom-share instead.

7. Keep it creepy. Black cats, bats, ghosts and blood. We’re terrified. If that’s your goal, takes notes on this card and photo pairing.

8. Pester for pictures. Nothing is cuter than kiddos dressed up for Halloween. So if you have grandkids, nieces and nephews, remind their parents to snap all the pics and deliver them to you, ASAP.

9. Share your costumes. Punkpost makes it easy for you to get those crazy costume pics off your phone and into a card. And now, you can even send up to 6 photos with your card. Make sure you’ve updated your app to get access to this feature!

10. Reminisce over the weather. This classic conversation never goes out of style. It will have you wanting to go visit you family and friends soon, maybe even for a little trick-or-treating.

11. Wish them HBD. If your friends and family have an October birthday, a ghost-themed card could not be any more appropriate.

12. Make up for your forgetfulness. Belated birthday cards happen. We get it. Rectify the situation by sending a spook-tacular Halloween card to your friend.

13. Treat the lil’ ghosts. For kids, Halloween means costumes, candy and staying up late. If you can’t be there to celebrate with the kids in your life, let them know you are thinking of them!

14. Tell the adults to stop adulting. When Halloween falls on a weekday, so many of us will be working the day away. But when the sun starts to set, make sure the adults in your life know they need to party, party, party.

15. Simply say Happy Halloween. Let the card do the talking. The hardest part is going to be deciding which of the more than 15 Halloween cards to send.

Send your card today with Punkpost to ensure it arrives by Oct. 31.
