The issue you generally run into is indigenous people and local farmers are often ok with one time profits. Another issue is the best you can do with this is leave the area unchanged. There are plenty of already "destroyed" rainforest to reestablish and better the environment. In my neighborhood it is larger companies that run the only rainforest friendly fields. Then mainly gringos growing giesha coffee too. Why not leave indigenous people alone and reforest. ICAFE and other groups are starting to get locals to decrease reliance on chemicals now that they are too expensive
