What is MetaMask ?
MetaMask is a secure vault, which is a user interface for managing identities across sites and marking blockchain transactions.
Everyone can now install the MetaMask add-on on Chrome, Firefox, Opera, and Brave browsers. and install it on their phone.
What was MetaMask developed into a browser add-on for?
It turns out that currently, the development of buying and selling and blockchain has penetrated the browser.
MetaMask is planned to be used to make transactions easier for users, so there is no need to open another window.
There are also blockchain-based browser games that currently use MetaMask.
How to Install MetaMask
Step 1 Download MetaMask
As for downloading MetaMask in the Chrome browser, you just need to open the store on Google Chrome. However, if in doubt, you can directly download it on the official MetaMask web or in the play store / app store for mobile phones.
After downloading the add-on, MetaMask will appear in the right corner with a distinctive logo.
Once you have successfully added the MetaMask extension to the Chrome browser, run metamask and click the “Get Started” button to start setting up your wallet.
Step 2 Create a Wallet
To create your first MetaMask wallet, click the “Create a Wallet” button. If you have other wallets, you can also import them into MetaMask directly.
after create wallet MetaMask wants to collect some anonymous data to upgrade the wallet. You can agree to it or click the “No Thanks” button depending on your preference.
Step 4 Setup Password MetaMask
In this step, you must create a password or a secure password which will be used later to access your MetaMask account. This is not your private key or seed phrase.
You will only use this password to log into your MetaMask wallet. If you forget the password, you can import your wallet using the initial phrase that will be shown in the next step.
Enter the new password and confirm the password (at least 8 characters), then tick “I have read and agree to the Terms of Use” and press the “Create” button to submit.
Step 5: Backup the Seed Phrases
Say your secret words (spare phrases) and write them down on a piece of paper. You can also save your backup phrases on a USB flash drive, preferably after encrypting them. You can use this seed phrase to reset the access password to MetaMask if you forget or lose access at any time.
The security of the backup phrase becomes the most important point. Anyone who has access to your spare phrase can certainly transfer the coins you have in your wallet to theirs. So make sure to always keep your backup seed phrase data confidential.
After you have entered the clear phrase, click the “Next” button to proceed to the next step.
Step 6: Confirm the Seed Phrase
After revealing and saving the backup seed phrase, you must enter it again to confirm your backup phrase. Click the “Confirm” button to continue.
After confirming your backup phrase, then your MetaMask setup has been successful. It is recommended that you first read some security tips and that you can click the “All Done” button when you are finished and start using your MetaMask wallet.
