I did #18, and remembered my friend Liam, who didn’t make it out of the plaza, because he stayed behind to help people down the stairwell in the South Tower. I remember his widow and his daughter, who was 6 in 2001.
And then I think about how we’re enmeshed in endless war, and it gives me the resolve to continue to advocate on the political front for an end to this.
