Floating

The unknown future has forever been a daunting enigma,
contemplating it often leads to a sea of despair.
The prospect of what lies ahead is a terrifying notion,
with whispers of ‘what we believe will come to pass.’

I am merely a girl struggling to stay afloat,
determined to keep paddling against the tide,
despite the imminent loss of breath.
For it is in those moments of struggle that I discover myself,
seeking to aid my own journey.
