colangelo didn’t pick okafor over noel…they traded noel because they weren’t gonna max (or near max) someone who plays the same position as embiid…the return was shitty, but their backs were against the wall and if anything better was offered in the past 8 months they would have traded him earlier…and if noel was with the team and healthy all season he obviously would have been given a chance to play more with embiid than the article would lead you to believe…this trade really has nothing to do with okafor…it’s not as complicated or irrational as this article makes it seem
