When we are constructing our home the first thing that we look into is the construction of doors and windows. In Australia, many construction companies provide various options to the people regarding the doors and windows to be constructed.

Some of the different types of windows those are available to choose from:

Casement windows

Casement windows are the windows that are fixed on a slanting plane to allow the windows to open like a door. They are hinged on the outside. They are held open using the Casement stay. Instead of having a handle to lift up the windows, these windows open outside and are installed over sinks, countertops and other places in homes. The best part about these windows is that they can be placed anywhere in the homes.

Advantages

  1. Variety of designs available: there are a lot of designs to choose from when the option for Casement windows.
  2. Opens and closed easily: since they crack open they are efficient for use and open and close easily.
  3. Provides ventilation and circulation of air throughout.

Disadvantages

  1. Size issues: since these windows are designed to crack open the windows cannot be too big or too heavy.
  2. Cost: the installation cost of these windows is very high and since large windows cannot be used multiple small windows are used while installing them.

Tilt and turn windows

The tilt and turn windows in Australia is quite a common feature. It work in the mechanism that involves using a hinge which is to be tilted towards the downward direction and the blockage is removed at the same time. These types of windows open inwards and are very different from the Casement windows.

The tilt and turn windows are a perfect solution for the rooms where the windows are not opened regularly. They also prevent the dust and dirt from entering the home.
