I started to watch it recently as I thought it was a fun clash between Fallon Carrington, daughter of a billionaire and her to-be new stepmother Crystal Flores wedded to a Billionaire family “The Carringtons”.
Soon after the 1st episode, it is nothing like promised. The two have their drift over becoming the company‘s new Head but the two shake hands to protect family felonies and secrets. The Carringtons are a success and there are many unties between the family, the return of old family members for revenge & lot of secrets for the protection of each other. It is a typical American drama but revolved largely around business and family trees.
Fallon is shrewd and doesn’t trust easily. She escapes from commitment but she is a smart businesswoman, highly driven & success oriented which is a good take on her character.
Crystal Flores, never understood by her new step daughter is a self-made woman with some dark secrets from her past family wedded to a billionaire is considered a gold-digger but certainly, she has an edge in business and takes the right stand being a strong position holder. Unfortunately, she is wrongly understood by her new family in many ways but she does her best to protect her old & new families alike.
Blake Carrington, the father of two Steven & Fallon, loved crystal Flores but is shady in most of the part of the show. He cares for nobody but the protection of his family & company. He is an excellent businessman and throws money & power.
Steven Carrington is a humble & philanthropist who wants to do good for the community and keep the family intact. He doesn’t care about money or his inherited business as much as the rest of the others go crazy.

The basic storyline/ quick summary / sneak peak in the Plot
The first episode promises more of the daughter-stepmother fight but soon, the two shares the same interest and make deals to protect the family. The new stepmother brought with her a hideous past and her nephew who at the start caused trouble but later became a supporting role for almost both Steven & Fallon.
Fallon plays around with guys & would go to the end of the world to get the business she wants. Raised among secrets, lies & distrust. She doesn’t believe people, or say, in the series, she has major trust issues with dad, & her guys.
Crystal, a nice woman with a shady past always tries to do right by this family, however, her own family back from Venezuela ruins her current life for money.
Fallon’s husband came out of nowhere, the plot could be slow and good. Fallon always gets what she wants and somehow, all the time manages to have a boy around. She fails to get her love while managing to have all the guys around him. The story bends more & more and introduces new family members to bring out the in-family drama. Fallon’s mother is annoying and messes with almost everyone around her without actually revealing her own true intention. Andres and Michael swore loyalties to the family and stood by them.
Alexis tangles the lives of Colby and Carrington by revealing their family secret. Ruins her own family by bringing a fake older brother called adam, actually named Hank who ran off at the end of the first season. The last episode was completely destroyed if….. I am not telling you this!
Here is why you should watch or you could watch this…
I recommend this show to one who loves family drama and American drama (where everyone had scandalous sexual relations with each other and protect family above everyone, at any cost). Please don’t expect a good story here, it’s honestly rotten. But this show will help you become better at tricks to mess with your family, lol..
This show highlights the extraordinary lavish lives of the Carringtons and the impeccable taste of Fallon in her fashion outfits.
Here is why you should not watch this…
I believe writers are trying way too hard to make lives difficult and create a historical secret to disturb the present lives. The story is not that great and changes frequently. It is tangled between the characters and nothing good happens for the longest time. Also, not to forget, the show is not just as the wrong person never gets caught here!
Let’s see what the show has to offer in its other seasons.. hopefully, a good plot!
