Time Management Homework
I was very surprised when I got the results of my quiz as it said I was neither a morning person or an evening person. I have always thought of myself as more of a morning person, but I can see how I got this result as sleep and I do not really get along. My sleeping schedule usually differs from week to week. I usually have a difficult time falling asleep and I do not take naps during the day. I usually wake up pretty early without an alarm, between 8–10 am and go to sleep between 11- and no later than 1 am only when I have a lot of homework that is unfinished. Even when I do put an alarm to wake myself up, I think I subconsciously have a strong fear of being late that most of the time as most of the time I wake up a couple of minutes before my alarm rings.
When I was in high school I decided to have a zero period which meant my first class started at 7:20 am and I would have to wake up everyday at 6 am. I was able to finish my classes earlier and go home before the majority of the school, which I enjoyed. On Mondays and Wednesdays, I do not have class until 12 pm. I like it because I don’t need an alarm to wake me up but I hate it because I feel as if the entire day has passed and I haven’t done anything productive. I actually like being busy and having a productive day.
I have noticed that even though I am actually getting more sleep than I got in high school, I am actually more tired and sleepy. I think this is due to my body not being used to getting so much sleep. I thought the part in the video where they mentioned how sleeping patterns can be genetic was interesting because I actually think I have the same sleeping pattern as my mom. When I was in high school my mom and I used to wake up around the same time and go to sleep around the same time. Now my mom wakes up earlier than me and goes to sleep later than me.
