“Polyamory is for Rich, Pretty People”
Vivienne Chen

I largely agree; I’ve actually noticed that a disproportionate number of the stories on casualsexproject.com seem to be posted by well-educated people with fairly comfortable lives. But I don’t like that you do not see the value of relinquishing privilege in some cases. Yes, being treated nicely by cops should be a shared privilege, and love should be a shared privilege, but those are not scarce resources. What about when parents fight tooth and nail to get their kids in to the best school (http://www.nytimes.com/2016/06/12/magazine/choosing-a-school-for-my-daughter-in-a-segregated-city.html) and then turn their backs on the poorer (often blacker) school? Money, time, and parental attention are not unlimited, and we’ve been ostensibly trying to help those behind catch up for years. Somehow it never happens because we are competitive animals unwilling to actively relinquish our unfair positions.
