PWiC 2020 Annual Report
Pakistani Women in Computing (PWiC) is a global community of women in technology fields and their allies hailing from Pakistan to empower, celebrate, mentor, and create opportunities for the community.
PWiC was initiated as a Facebook community in 2015, but it was not until 2018 that it was transformed into a global initiative. 2020 was our first official operational year with tax-exempt (501c3) status. Despite all the hardships due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, 2020 has seen tremendous success for PWiC in providing growth, connection and learning opportunities to our global community. This year also saw a growth to our global operational team, which is now 14 members strong.
On behalf of the PWiC Board and Management team, we would like to thank each and every one of you for being part of our journey.
