Thank you for sharing. Our physical state can in many ways be a reflection of our mental state. You certainly had your share of challenges which many of us never had to deal with. It is easy to see why you sought comfort in food.
I try and view food purely as a necessity of survival, but I believe it is healthy to periodically ignore this. I also try and find comfort in discomfort, which helps get me on to my stationary bike for 30 minutes in the morning. I’ve lost about 45 lbs, dropping from 230 to 185. I try not to worry too much about my specific weight at this point and more about simply maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
