Being alone when you want to be in a relationship is one of the toughest things a person will endure. I’ve felt exactly how you describe but as usual you said it better than I ever could. Thank you.
When I finally gave up on finding the one, it was both depressing and liberating. Then an amazing thing happened — I met my future wife! I honestly think the “giving up” had something to do with this turn in fortune. Maybe giving up allowed me to be myself again, or maybe it was just good timing. I don’t have any great advice for those here who are still looking, except to say that even if you give up, don’t give up hope.
