About Pysanka project

Pysanka NFT

The Pysanka project was born from the desire to help the Ukrainian people after they were attacked by Russia, while showing gratitude to anyone that donates to the cause.

Pysanka is a Ukrainian easter egg, decorated with traditional Ukrainian folk designs using a wax-resist method. Rather than painting the eggs, the eggs are inscribed upon with beeswax.

Each mint (initial purchase) of a Pysanka NFT costs 0.0380 ETH plus the transaction fee determined by the current state of the Ethereum network. The cost of the NFT was determined by using the Ukrainian country call code, which is 00380. The proceedings from minting the tokens are split between Ukraine and humanitarian organizations, while a small percentage is distributed to the team developing the project in order to cover the development, design and other costs. All of the beneficiaries of the donations are publicly listed in the smart contract, so anyone can look them up and verify them.

You can mint any amount of the tokens you desire and even contribute more than 0.0380 ETH. For example, you can contribute 0.05 ETH, and in exchange you will get 1 Pysanka NFT, and the 0.05 ETH that you contributed will be automatically forwarded to the beneficiaries. In case your contribution exceeds the multiple of the token’s price, you will get that amount of tokens. For example, if you contribute 0.0760 ETH or 0.09 ETH, you will get 2 tokens and your donation will be automatically forwarded to the beneficiaries.

In addition to contributing by calling the mint function of the smart contract, you can also just send the funds directly to the smart contract. The smart contract will automatically split the contribution between the beneficiaries, and mint an NFT for you.

The project is limited to 10000 tokens each with unique designs inspired by Ukrainian pysankas. The total number of Pysankas is determined by our desire for each to be unique, much like each human being. And as this project is about taking care of our fellow human beings, this seems important to us. After the last Pysanka is minted, the donations will no longer be accepted by the smart contract, as we are unable to show our gratitude to you supporting the cause.
