by Lj Miranda, PyCon APAC 2019 Volunteer

For the first time, the Philippines will be hosting the largest gathering of Python developers in the Asia-Pacific region, PyCon APAC 2019! Come witness this historical event! PythonPH invites IT professionals, students, educators, and all Python enthusiasts to join them on February 23–24 at iAcademy Nexus, Makati City.

PyCon APAC is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit annual conference in the Asia-Pacific region centered around the Python Programming Language. It has been hosted in various countries — Singapore, Japan, Indonesia, South Korea, etc. — and will be coming to the Philippines this year. It will be a good opportunity to celebrate our passion not just with our local developers, but also with our neighbors in the Asia-Pacific region.

This year’s theme is “Continuous Improvement” featuring talks and workshops centered around the idea of continuously finding opportunities for growth.

Learn from Suzy Lee, CTO of Bridge Southeast Asia and Data Scientist at Analytiks, Inc., Tom Dyson, Co-founder and Technical Director of Torchbox — the company behind Wagtail CMS, Beng Keat Liew of Python User Group Singapore, and Jacob Kaplan-Moss, co-creator of Django.

In addition, learn about The Python Community, Industry-applied Python, Software Engineering Best Practices, Testing, Web Development, Advanced and Core Python, Data Analysis, Data Engineering, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Back-end/DevOps in their session highlights.

Like the previously held PyCons, we will be expecting a diverse range of attendees from all skill levels, industries, and background. We hope to see you at PyCon APAC 2019!
