First of all, let us look at the announcement of OKCOIN: The Bitcoin Segwit2x network based on the New York consensus has been successfully activated, At present the entire network is stable, there is no so-called “fork”; Then in the statement of HUOBI: “There is no fork in the Bitcoin network, and the Segwit2x expansion plan has been just activated.”

The statements of the two China’s largest trading platforms in China are more professional.

The Bitcoin network is safe and stable now, with no fork. BCC, which will be born on August 1, is only a new coin with its own pursuit and ideas. According to the definition of Bitcoin network, BCC is not the fork at all. The reasons are as follows:

In the history of Bitcoin there have been some forks in the network, at that time, there were two (or more) exactly the same blockchain, the whole network can not be synchronized, each network had a large number of miners mining. The emergence of two parallel networks with the same difficult was called fork.

Why is the fork dangerous: because the information of the two parallel network, including mining information and transaction information, was not synchronized. For example, you can not buy things in the store next your home with the money in your hand, just because the networks are different. The value of your money will be greatly reduced. In addition, the parallel chain will create a huge confusion to the community and the entire industry. So, in the past, when the true fork appeared, all the related enterprises quickly reached a consensus to determine a recognized the longest chain, other short chains were given up. F2Pool had mined in a final abandoned short chain and finally had to give up to re-sync to reach the longest chain, with some economic losses.

The emergence of this type of coins like BCC is not the first time. In the bitcointalk forum, there have been many similar altcoins. These coins inherited the existing bitcoin blockchain, so every one holding bitcoin will have this new coin. In history, no one (the author) have said that such a new coin was the fork of bitcoin. So if this kind of coin is a fork, it is equivalent to saying that the forks of bitcoin are happening every day. The releated man of BCC also agrees my opinon.

In summary, at present, the Bitcoin network is safe and stable, BCC is not a fork of bitcoin, and Bitcoin network will continue to upgrade.

Finally, thanks for the guidance of Hao Wen ( the CEO of Bither wallet) in my writing.
