Salah — Prayers

Salah, units of prayer, varies from prayer to prayer. Ritual purity and wudu are must-do for performing the prayers. It is an act of being connected with Allah/God, in Islam.

Fard /Obligatory Prayers

There are 5 prayers that is obligatory for Muslims to perform;

  1. Fajr Prayer/Salah
  2. Zuhr Prayer/Salah
  3. Asar Prayer/Salah
  4. Maghrib Prayer/Salah
  5. Isha Prayer/Salah

1.Fajr Prayer/Salah

To be performed in the starting of the day, before the Dawn and After the Seher.

2. Zuhr Prayer/Salah

To be performed in the middle of the day , at noontime.

3.Asar Prayer/Salah

To be performed in the 3rd part of the noon OR afternoon.

4.Maghrib Prayer/Salah

To be performed just after the dusk. And could be performed uptill 45 minutes from the dusk.

5.Isha Prayer/Salah

To be performed at night. It should be performed after 1.3 hours from the Maghrib Prayer.
