Qbit welcomes our new advisors!

This fall we have many exciting news at Qbit. While virtual reality is definitely on the peak of media attention, at Qbit we are focusing on creating VR multi-user environments and social experiences, as well as developing our VR enterprise products and solutions. While taking care of our growth and planning our mid-term strategy, we felt the need to constitute an expert group to be near the company in evolving its strategy, and to support us in developing new products and services for our future.

While taking care of our growth and planning our mid-term strategy, we felt the need to constitute an expert group to be near the company in evolving its strategy, and to support us in developing new products and services for our future. We felt it’s about time for Qbit to constitute an Advisory Board, to help the company management in implementing a winning strategy and to give precious advice for the company’s future growth.

In particular, we are proud to have Philip Rosedale on board as one of our new advisors. Philip is one of the leading architects of virtual reality. Philip is CEO and co-founder of High Fidelity, Inc., a company devoted to exploring the future of next-generation shared virtual reality. Prior to High Fidelity, Rosedale created the virtual civilization Second Life, populated by one million active users generating US$700M in annual transaction volumes.

As the Founder of Qbit, I am also proud to announce that Michael Min is also joining

our Board of Advisors, bringing his expertise in creating unique entertainment experiences. Michael began his career at Industrial Light & Magic as a Technical Director on such films as “Men In Black II”, “The Mummy Returns”, “Star Wars: Episode I”, “Sleepy Hollow” and “Mission Impossible”, with over a dozen film credits. Michael also worked at Dreamworks Animation, where acted as the Supervising Technical Director on the DreamWorks CG-animated feature “Madagascar”. While at Dreamworks, he worked to develop global film productions through their joint-venture with Technicolor. Currently, he is working as the Workflow Architect for the Moving Picture Company visual effects house in SoHo, London. Michael is also a Partner at Zvky Design Studios and Zinfinity Games.

Our Advisory Board comprises other outstanding professionals, such as Ginsu Yoon, who has been involved in various outstanding projects in his career. At Google, he led product development for systems that protected the world’s largest online advertising business. At Linden Lab, he was a key executive in building the business of Second Life to a $100 million run rate. At Airespace, he was general counsel and a key negotiator in their half-billion dollar sale to Cisco. Currently he divides his time between writing, advising startups, and real estate development.

As we are growing our team and moving further into the new ecosystem of virtual reality, I would like to thank our new advisors for allowing us to cultivate and grow our field expertise and maintain a long term vision in our company, to be ready to meet the demands of our highly complex digital future.
