Getting Started with Mandrill
Mandrill is an email service that allows you to send personalized emails, or automated transactional emails like password resets, order confirmations, and welcome messages.

Generate an API key
The email which you’ve used during the registration will be your username.
The API key that you’ve just generated will be your password.
Settings > SMTP & API Info
The SMTP login info should look like this.
Add a domain
Settings > Domains
Verify email e.g. firstname.lastname@example.org
These TXT records must be setup at the control panel where your domain is registred at e.g. GoDaddy, 1and1, name.com etc.
Add DKIM Settings
Add a txt record: mandrill._domainkey.example.com:
v=DKIM1; k=rsa; p=MIGfMA0GCSqGSIb3SOMElongIwishyougreatsuccessIDAQAB;
Add SPF record
Add SPF record for example.com (or at GoDaddy for host use @)
v=spf1 include:spf.mandrillapp.com ?all
The TXT records will help the deliverability of your emails.
Tweak the sending defaults
Settings > Sending Defaults
Forward Bounce Notifications To This Address
Custom SPF/DKIM Signing Domain
select your domain name
Keep in mind: free users can send up to 25 emails per hour.
