The Solar Electric Car for the Masses

An Electric Vehicle Powered by the Sun

Meet Sion by Sono Motors, an innovative electric van with integrated solar cells in the body with a range of 250km and a price of less than $18,000 USD. The company states in their Kickstarter campaign (which has successfully closed), that the car would be able to get 30 free kilometers per day with electricity generated by the sun. The stored energy can be used through bidirectional charging for all common electronic devices.
