MISTAKEN

I mistook love for lust

On several occasions

Just when I thought

I had a handle on this

Its back to the drawing board

Its back to the bottom of the list

My words mean nothing

If I can no longer feel something

At that moment

I would be all in my feelings

Grasping at paper

to desperately write

A masterpiece to

make it right

But I want to be wrong

I want to be vile

You are not right for me

And it's become foul

It's time to say goodbye

Our brief fling has come to an end

Sorry to disappoint

But this will make a mends

I hope you can forgive me

Only time will tell

You'll find someone better

I know you will
