Join Rosetta@home to speed up research on coronavirus COVID-19!
Rosetta@home is a BOINC distributed computing project. Its aim is to determine the shape (specifically, the tertiary structure) that a protein will obtain from folding in nature, by finding the folding with the lowest energy.
Rosetta@home needs your help in determining three-dimensional protein shapes for research that may eventually lead to cures for some serious human diseases. By running Rosetta on your computer when you don’t need it, you will help Rosetta speed up and expand their research in ways we couldn’t have done without your help.
As part of the Rosetta@home project you can now help in the fight against the coronavirus. Everyone can devote part of their computer’s computing power to work on the search for vaccines and drugs to fight COVID-19. All you need is the appropriate software, which can be found here.

After installing the software we will see a simple control panel.
1. Add a project (a list of available projects in Bionix will be displayed)
2. Add a project called Rosetta@home
3. The proper name of the project is http://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/
4. You keep pressing… keep pressing… keep pressing.

In this way each of us can contribute to the invention of the drug for COVID-19. Rosetta@home will only use the free resources of our central processor (CPU). So we can easily use the computer while Rosetta@home is doing its calculations in the background.
