The Online University model and UoPeople, is it worth your time and money?

The trouble I had with University of the People is that assignments are graded by other students, many of whom have a first language other than English and aren’t very proficient at English. This means that a lot of times people don’t even understand your assignment very well, yet they have your grade in their hands. I had a lot of assignments receive grades that I feel certain were VERY low compared to what they should have been, and there was really no recourse. I withdrew because I got tired of getting low grades on assignments that I spent many hours working on and I knew were very good work that deserved better marks than they got. I’ve never had such low grades on anything in my entire life, even at other colleges. When I went to a local technical school, my GPA was actually 4.1 because I got bonus credit on a couple of exams!
