At the beginning of today’s World Cup match between India and Bangladesh, they played the national anthems of both countries (which always feels like a poor rip-off from football games, I don’t know why).

I realised that unusually, both national anthems in this sporting context were created by the same person: Rabindranath Tagore.

Thought that was pretty cool. Since I don’t know of any other person who has written two national anthems, this must be unique to India-Bangladesh matches.
